Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Nope....it's SS. The rear brake gives me more than enough braking power for the kind of riding I do.

stock iro fork. It weight just as much as the frame only! but the clearance for 32mm tires really makes it worth it

FUN!

haha i saw you bike Jimmy and recognized it instantly...as always

Some may say it's too small but Jimmy is like a big gorilla , huge arms, long huge legs(can be scary during polo, just glad he's usually on my team haha) dressed all in black and bombs around A2 on that thing, and fast as all damn hell on that thing. 99% of the time that bike is running a front brake, trust me he can still put that thing into a skid at full speed.

there's a reason we call him Crazy Jimmy, man be crazy on wheels!

My Lemond Filmore. I chopped some cruiser bars. I intended on building a townie, but I really just like this cruiser/townie/track thing. It's still light and fast and the ride is totally upright. Skidding & skipping is just too easy now.

Yeah, you just think about skipping and it does it. It totally doesnt need a brake because the bars give you so much torque and control.. also, i'm 230lbs and built really wide, so the bike suits me great!

i don't get how you guys ride in the snow, but obviously its done. I'd probably get studded tires myself. I love black bikes with just a little silver.

thanks. rims are mavic OP, phil hubs, and 700x32 Ritchey Speedmax Cross tires. I ordered a pair of 700x32 Randonneurs since it's no ? about fit because these tires fit fine with just enough room to spare.

lower the gearing and it improves your torque in the snow w/o tiring you as much

Heheh, I wish the Surly were mine, it would be an awesome rain/snow bike. My next project is going to be something similar but a fixed cross bike for the winter. I have a Surly hub, I just need a nice frame and the rest will fall into place. But yeah, the GT is mine, as you know, so thanks

Here is a trick Cinelli:

Mine is posted in fgg. I no longer own this fine ride....

http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007...topherLook.htm

Before any criticism is leveled, this was a project during the "budding" period of my bike affliction! I think the chrome fork finished it off quite well, though.

Cheers~
