Siphoning air out of a car tire

Does anyone know where I can find an air siphoner, from car tire to my tube? I remember seeing one of these a few years back but didn't buy it, now I can't find one anywhere. This thing is way cooler than lugging around a pump. It doesn't take that much air out of the tire, so don't start talking shi*t about this genius tool. If someone can help me locate one of these that would be awesome.

2bar cd be enough to get you home just fine if you're using MTB tyres. I run my 6-7 bar road tyres so it's obviously not going to fly for me. An adapter and a gas station pump will get me home tho.

that's about as big and probably as heavy as a mini pump.
why not carry something that actually works?

Jeezus, just carry a pump or are your arms to weak to pump your tire up? Not to mention that thing probably weighs more than a pump and is bulkier to carry around.

I'm pretty sure a gas station air pump can get a bike tire up to 120 PSI, or more.

It's all about volume.

Just buy a pump. They work well and don't involve flatting other people's tires for no good reason.

On second thought, just buy the thing. It will make for a great future post. Picture the scene:
The OP is squatting next to a car, hooking up this little device when someone comes up from behind and says "why are you messing with my car?"

most gas station pumps won't go that high. typically, in my experience, you top around 80-85psi. i am by no means a master of physics, but unless the source of your air blasts it out at x psi, then your tire isn't going to get any higher than that. once the pressure of the air in the tire matches that of the source, it will no longer fill (read: increase pressure).

That's still a lot higher than a 30psi car tire.

Since when did a gas station air pump not give you enough air to fill a bike tire? Any gas station pump I've ever used could blow the tire off the rim if you wanted.

i think those will work for BMX tires, but absolutely not for road tires.

for the pressure reason.

Mugatu is totally right. The average psi ran in a car tire is 32psi. You can't invent 100psi out of 32psi. Recently a lot people run up to 40-45 psi in car tires. Too low for me.
Unless you want to run that low then the product is garbage.

I am pretty sure many have regulators installed to keep people from overfilling their tires.

This post should end the thread...

But, trucks usually have their tires at a much higher PSI than cars, upwards of 80-100 pounds. So, the OP's idea could work. Get a flat, can't find a truck? fill up on a car with enough to troll around for a truck, and badda bing, you're back in business. Just don't get caught by an angry trucker...
