I was joking Mike: I like your bike more every time I see it. Those chainstay brige reinforcements are the boss. I think they might really be downtube cable stops from Llewellyn as seen in the picture below: http://bikelugs.com/gallery/llewelyn...e/lcb22_fs.jpg |
Here's a shot of some gnarly Bilenky brazing work. They had to braze the BB on my otherwise lugged frame due to the geometry and curly ST. They wanted the BB to match the lugs proper so they added some embellishments...

I have to say there's nothing better than a finely brazed stem. Sooooo tasty!

That's the nicest threadless stem I've ever seen.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3156/...81cecb.jpg?v=0 the build is still a work in progress. the whole drive/shifting system is getting switched from 1x10 ultegra to 2x9 with a bizarre mashing of chorus xtr and TA. the alpha q s getting replaced with a steel fork. geometry was my design, we've been jokingly referring to it as tracklocross. very aggressive positioning and handling, though it can get a bit squirrely on descents. its fun, and it suits what im used to (track bikes, my road bike has crit geometry, etc.). columbus tubing (forget which one...) Made by my friend Joshua Thayer, who builds under the name of Miles Cycles in hunters point (ghetto of san francisco) in a studio he shares with Matt Feeny (of panfried cycles/pass tow racks/feeny cycles fame). This will be the first one he's built to have decals, hes been building frames as a hobby for 10+ years for friends. |
