Has anyone used the "its not a bike its bike parts" scam on northwest?
and did it work?
no im not gonna search. dont be a dick i need to know soon. ps. if you are a dick i promise i can make you feel really bad about. so just help if you can. |
um what? please explain
|
i have heard that you can get past the "bicycle fee" by claiming you are checking bike parts and not a bike. just hoping someone has tried it on this airline. cause i have to go away last minute and cannot afford the 80 bucks each way that this airline charges for a bike(machine guns are free by the way)
just looking for some help. |
fight me nerd
|
no for real. help me out, shut up or fight me. the internet wont keep you safe for ever. youre not even funny enough for me not to care.
|
what i hear is a pu$$y that wont shut the **** up. get funny
|
I hear how this scam works is when you go to airport, instead of telling the airline you have a bike, you tell them you're checking bike parts. Since it's not "a bike" they won't charge you the $80.

tell them about the funeral
bereavement fare often requires a death certificate but you still might find a friendly ear with regards to the bike |

why dont you just not risk it and leave your bike at home?
|
im not really ever serious on the internet. but bikeforum nerds usually act cool/funny/tough when they arent any of the above and it begins to rub me the wrong way.
i just honestly need help and am not sober enough/in the right state of mind to have anyone try and be cute with me. |

taking a bike on an airplane is at least one complication too many if you are dealing with a death in your life
ask a friend for a ride so you dont have to deal with it im sure someone will be glad to help |
Don't go into it with the expectation of exploiting a technicality. Rather, have some respect for these people and be goddamn personable. Who do you think has a higher success rate at life, a charming charismatic person, or someone who tries to exploit the system through technicalities?
edit* Sorry, if I sounded like an ass. I posted that before I read about the funeral part. |
im obviously working on a ride.
i would like to know if i have other options. |
We're done here.
