Geometry Questions for Mercier
Ok i'm going to ask questions about the Mercier Kilo just like everyone else. Everyone knows the Kilo is a khs flite 100, but the geometries seem to be different. On the Mercier website it says the toptube length of a 53cm is 55cm and that the 57cm is 59cm. On the KHS website for the 05' model(looks more like the kilo than the 07' model) it says the 57cm has a 57.5cm top tube and the 53cm is pretty much the same. So if someone has a 57cm Mercier frame could you measure the top tube because I ride a bike with a 56.5cm top tube and a 110mm stem on the road but i'm afraid that with risers on the mercier(53cm frame) instead of bars with brake hoods it will be too short even with changing to a 120mm stem. If the top tube really is 59cm for the 57cm frame it seems like that would be too long. Also the standover heights dont match. I have about a 32.5in inseam. From the Mercier website it seems like the frame sizes jump too much, 55cm to 59cm top tube? You would think they would have a 57cm choice for the top tube. Here are the websites I got the info from.
