Help with my Centurion

I bought a Centurion for $50 at a thrift shop, and am going to convert it when I get the money together. I can't seem to find another Centurion, on the forums or the web that looks like mine. I think that the decal on the TT was ripped off, so I have no idea what type it is, or when it was made.

I had a feeling it was. Thanks!
One more thing, where exactly can I find the serial number? I saw the thread about Centurion serial numbers, and searched everywhere, but couldn't find one.

That is a great paintjob.

Judging by the lugs, brakes, and other componentry, I'd say it's from the 70's, and more than likely high-tensile steel. It will make a serviceable conversion (lord knows I rode one for a long-ass time), but you can find lighter frames.

Yeah, the paint job is one of the things that drew me to the bike. Although is scratched up quite a bit, i think I'm just going to leave it. I'm not too worried about the weight right now, I'm just going to be using it as my beater.
