what would YOU pay

for a used, good condition Langster 07 frameset?

deathhare 11-07-07 01:11 PM

id pass

genericbikedude 11-07-07 02:24 PM

$2

maddyfish 11-07-07 02:51 PM

If it fit me, and was in very good condition, and I didn't think it was stolen $75.

Tangsooyuk 11-07-07 02:57 PM

$400 if its all still completely stock. Is it still stock or did they change a few things?

maddyfish 11-07-07 02:59 PM

^^^^^He said frameset, so there wouldn't be any "things", right?

curiousincident 11-07-07 03:02 PM

Fork? BB and headset, maybe? TT pad? Powder coat? One Less Car stickers?

it is an original frame and fork, std headset.
that's it, nothing has been changed, no stickers, or anything. Original finish.

Severian 11-07-07 03:16 PM

base or s-works?

Value is totally subjective.

Ask 10 people and you will get 10 answers (as shown with the answers already submitted).

There is only one question you need to ask only one person. Ask yourself, "How much is it worth to me?" and you will have your answer.

dijos 11-07-07 03:33 PM

+1; I may pay 75-100 bucks; I don't really want one.

Hirohsima 11-07-07 03:37 PM

The frame/ fork/hs I think are worth about $400 brand new. So $250 I think is reasonable

+$50 if it has a "one less car" or any critical mass sticker on it!

+$75 if either are under the clear coat!

What about "gears are for queers" or "death before derailers"?

calf man 11-07-07 06:15 PM

I know a guy named Les Carr.

Actually, I think it should read "One fewer car".

jdms mvp 11-07-07 07:29 PM

it's probably worth 200$

calculus 11-07-07 07:58 PM

maybe 250-300(<-if ultramint) if and only if it was the seattle one and 52-53cm cause my g.f really likes it and score some brownie points and whatnot... otherwise i'd look for something else

acoldspoon 11-07-07 07:59 PM

I'll give ya $101 for it if it is in my size.

aw, how cute.

marqueemoon 11-07-07 08:29 PM

$100 max, but only if I had a need for a lock-up-all-day-outside bike which I might soon.

That puts the frameset in an odd price zone. For that price you might as well just pony up another 150 and buy a used complete Langster off fleabay since they go for $400 all day long. It would make a lot more sense than spending $250, which I would agree the frameset is probably worth, then spending much more on wheels, crank/BB, saddle/post, bars, brakes, etc.

I'd try to get it for cheap as possible since you have to come with the other components. Start low and see what price you both settle at.

Well you make a good point. If the OP is patient I have seen Langster comp's go on eBay for ~$500 which I think is pretty good.
