It occurs to me that maybe these colorful, hipster-ish bikes we ride (and ***** about) are the next evolution of clown bikes. I have a ukulele-playing bear scheduled to ride mine later in the week.

An Italian, somewhere, is crying right now for Campag.

crushkilldstroy 11-14-07 12:41 PM

I want to see the rest of that bike. I drank too much last night and need something to help me puke out some remaining booze/stomach acid.

That would make a lot of sense.

skinnyland 11-14-07 02:41 PM

Neat. I'm going to repaint my beater.
Who knows? Maybe that clown's actually a closet bike nerd.

It appears you are correct--further inspection of the gallery that came from reveals a slightly more complete picture of the bike. One click back gets you there, on this gallery:

Brace yourselves though, there are a lot of pics of horribly molested phil wood hubs.

EivlEvo 11-14-07 06:31 PM

Perhaps it is in FACT ridden by a clown and they needed a reason for a tax write off?

Maybe I'll put some wings and an instrument panel on my bike?

in this case, do you think it's more or less attractive to thiefs? I can't decide.

I would think less just because it's so easily indentifiable.

i dunno i was locked up next to an even uglier landshark once (i think ugly paint might be there thing?)...

it you saw it up close... they are f-in hot and the paint has nothing to do with it... sick bikes!

Doctor Who 11-14-07 07:53 PM

John Slawta makes some hideous bikes, but man, are they nice hideous bikes. I would have no qualms with rolling that thing around, even though, well, it's a clown bike.

Landshark will also do normal-looking paintjobs, for those adverse to flourescent paint (but really, who'd want that?)

Metricoclock 11-14-07 08:11 PM

i should start walking around with a squirt bottle filled with paint stripper

i would kill for that chain

megatron 11-14-07 10:56 PM

thats an old school bmx chain.. they came like that.
anyways, i believe that this statement is appropriate:
that bike is gay.

pazzmore 11-14-07 11:49 PM

it's like camo for perverts who want to hide in that ball cage thing at macdonalds.

ilikebikes 11-15-07 07:31 AM

I think the bike is sweet, the person who owns it must have put in a lot of work to get it the way he/she wanted it, the thing about bikes is your bike is an extention of yourself and not everyones going to like it ;) I figure as long as the owner digs it who gives a flying **** if anyone else does ;) :)

No, then it'd be a tricycle.......

It's really growing on me though. The winces are becoming less frequent when I look at those pics.
