sewing machines
for the people who make bags, hats etc. what are some good sewing machines to check out. im interested in getting one but not really sure what to look for/how much a decent one is. thanks for your help.

there was a thread about this a while ago. I'm gonna be the jerk who says "search."
but I think the consensus on that thread was you don't need anything industrial, a basic home machine works just as well. I have a Viking 415 that does everything I need it to do.

ok ill try the search. i remembered a thread about making hats but didnt figure there was discussion of what type of machine. thanks though. i just wasnt sure if a basic machine would go through that cordura stuff. like, if i wanted to make tt pads and things like that.

ive got a necchi royal series sewing machine that has never been used and has many accessories with it. it was an $800 machine that I want to sell for cheap. If interested send pm and i can take pics and send specs.
