I have had mine for about a month now and it is awesome. Takes about an hour to get used to and is a great little machine. I use it as school and at coffee shops and fits really well into an empty or packed messenger bag. Much better then trying to fit my big old laptop and chrome laptop case into my bag.
The machine is fast, usable, cheap, has a decent battery life, and enough power to make me happy. No, I am not a newb, I am doing my masters in computer science and this is one great little machine imho. Don't knock it till you get a chance to really try it.

my laptop:
it's full spec, basically a black macbook with 40 less gigs in the hard drive and twice the RAM.
i think the blackbook is even more hipstery.
