what do y'all do? search isn't working for me. boston's gettin' lots o' snow. i wanna ride.
does deflating the tires a bit work? it seems like it would. deflate both? front? back? none? won't you help a brotha' out?

when it snowed here last week i didn't do anything about my tires... 125psi gatorskins (23mm).

+1 if its the first snowfall, get out there and ride its a blast, But once the ice and refozen slush and start happening, things get tricky not to mention when it snows over the ice and other unpleasantries, Then you can not see where they are, and you are in a world of suck,
but dude swing by the hardware store a pack of 1000 zipties is 10$, and there great for Everything

Find a crap department store mountain bike (junk piles, whatever), make sure the brakes work and then ride it into the ground. I don't think there is much to do that is going to make 23s handle snow and ice well.

Thought I'd throw it out there: Maxxis Fuse tires have been really good to me this winter. Ordinarily, the Fuse is a sh*t tire, but the tread pattern seems to work really well over ice, snow, and slush. They ought to be dirt cheap, too.
I can vouch that Rubinos == no yuo during the winter.
