I really like that bike. Beautiful rustic white color. Throw on some bar tape though, you are making my hands hurt

yeah, black cloth tape. i didn't think the black would look good at first, but on a second glance, it'd balance the saddle nicely.

color me Jealous! what are those tires? and wrap those bars, but some black brooks leather may look good as well, just to really balance that out and save your hands! I hate my bike now... thanks!

I really like that Geliano, minus that horrendously ugly damn Brooks saddle. Jesus, for every one bicycle I see that looks good with a Brooks saddle there are ten that look awful. I don't understand the Brooks cult that seems to exist. They generally completely ruin the lines and look of bikes, especially a track bike that looks sleek and fast...until moving to the saddle, which is an ugly, unsightly, clunky looking hunk of leather with gross looking rails sticking out.

This is a purely aesthetic judgment of Brooks saddles, but hey, nobody likes an ugly bike.

My first fixie conversion a while back started as someone's old custom tri bike tht was bonded aluminum. It was light, but it ultimately came apart in the middle of traffic. I was riding down Grand Ave in Chicago when the downtube disconnected from the headtube. It was bizarre. I was riding and then I seemed to lean forward and my pedals were hitting the ground. I got off, saw my top tube was bent in a vague U-shape and then I noticed the 3" gap between the two other tubes. It was my only bike at the time, so that sucked, but the thing was a total beast anyway, running a Corima seatpost and a Rock Shox Ruby fork. I'm now wary of bonded aluminum, though to be fair most that were made were probably made better than the un-branded custom frame I bought second-hand. Still, not a frame-type I'm likely to buy again.

^ ^ ^ I think it's just you. Brooks saddles look just fine on an old school lugged frame, and dumb as hell on a fat tubed aluminum/carbon frame. Besides, you're losing sight of the real reason that should lie behind every person's saddle choice: COMFORT.

I just transferred the Brooks from one of my other bikes. I've had it for more than 2 years now and it's shaped to my bottom I guess. Dunno what else would look good on this bike though.. a Rolls? Turbo? FIzik?

a few updates for the Cross Check. New wide-ass bars, fatter tires, shorter cranks.

Really nice bike btw. And like everyone else said, add some tape to that thing and it'll look way better. Naked bars are ugly!

Le Car...I was simply making a personal opinion comment. I don't like to be cruel to other people's bikes, as they are like pets (or more!) for many of us. I love that bike and wish it were mine. I was just commenting that I think it would look even better with a new saddle and maybe a Shimano aero seatpost.

As for comfort - I've never ridden a Brooks but I've been happy with plenty of other saddles.

I think both a Rolls and a Turbo would look too big and clunky. Maybe a slim Fizik, a Selle Italia SLR, a Flite...something slim and fast looking. BUT, of course you should ride the saddle that feels the best under your nacho.

Since we are on the topic of looks - I like naked bars and if you ride with gloves it doesn't always matter if you wrap them. However, I agree that white rims and white tires don't look good together.

i dont' think the brooks looks bad. it's not a huge clunky brooks. a bike looks fast when a rider blows by you on it and you usually don't sit there thinking ewww, that brooks saddle looks so slow. lol.

A buddy bought me some super-wide Major Taylor-type bars for Christmas and I decided to chop off the drops, flop and spin 'em around backwards.

I just need to tape them and find a lever that fits right at the stem.

48cm Nitto 177 (aka "Noodle"). This bike will eventually get a CETMA rack, a Wald basket or some other front rack setup. I wanted enough width to fit some **** and still have drops.
