Chicago has a mayor who is extremely interested in promoting and accommodating cyclists. That makes a big difference.

Interestingly enough there are racks exactly like that down by the physics building at my school. (Both of the styles).
I definitely dig 'em. |
Here are some updated pictures of my bike, i am not sure if it is done yet or not, it needs either a paintjob or clearcoat for sure though.

I don't have the original Ciocc fork but the one I did have was pretty rusty so I had it sand blasted and re-chromed and it looks great. If you have the original fork, that might be a nice touch. |
you can get them online at http://universalcyclecentre.co.uk/Decals.htm
Its this guy Dave. really nice. he sells them on ebay sometimes, but its just as cheap to get them through his site. or conatct him directly: carltonflyer@aol.com on the fork note... wasn't sure if i could get a rusted fork re-chromed... so just bought a new one. maybe i'll still look into it. thanks. |

here's my old/new grandis... scored from ebay, and dressed in the lovely bits taken from my other bike. i'm gonna get some better outdoor pics soon, but sloppy robot made me take this one. cheers to dolface for the homebrew top tube protector.

My new pride and joy. 44:12 on 20" wheels, rides like a pig, skids like a biatch:

with all the bike porn lately (165, absntr, et al.), i figured i would post mine. i was in the process of re-taping (white) my drops, but i have been having fun with the chrome bling! i also have some white keirin grips that i have been toying with using up top. (it is a wee bit grainy from re-sizing...if anyone knows how to re-size, while maintaining a smooth image, i welcome suggestions!).
with slight mods from its current state, it can also be seen at http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2004/g/stevenson.htm methinks the decals will be removed next and straps (possibly) added. from japan... |

from japan... What are you using to resize the image? I know that iPhoto doesn't do it nice. Photoshop will, Gimp, a proper photo editor should do the job. |
