You should do what YOU want not what the Interweb tells you to do. Ride a bike and upgrade it because you want to. Don't spend your money because someone else tells you to. I don't think bikes are made for fashion accessories if they are to you then upgrade what you think aesthetically would improve it but don't take our word on it.

Finally got this thing paid off and on the way. I'm going to try to keep it as Italian as possible with an entire Miche drive train, Campy brakeset and headset. Eventually I'd like to build up a new wheelset with Celeste Deep V's and Miche hubs.

Personally, I'd do dark blue rims on that.

I am still working on the saddle angle, but the seatpost that comes with a stock IRO Angus isn't worth much. Thomson is en route...

I am pretty satisfied with the bike now. Any suggestions? And I know the grip tape will get nasty, but I wanted to see how long it will last before it is disgusting to look at.

I generally strongly dislike what most hipster fixie riders do to their bikes, but your bike is excellent!

Kudos to you sir!

I like it.
how do you like the dummy hood?
what bars are those?

if you're going to stick with the white tape (fizik?)
find some white electrical tape to finish it off.

other than that, good work.

aesthetics / weight (compared to my old bars), and you get a much more aggressive pull when riding in the drops on those compared to my old bars and regular road bars
