I'm not sure I understand is this a knock on me for only riding short distances? MY feet were cold because my shoes don't have a lot of protection against the cold.

sorry if you had diffcult to understand my question.. I was puzzled what your says in post "My feet have never been so cold." meanwhile i notice snow in picture with beautiful bike.. The bars are Generic. I think they may be the "Zoom" brand.
I'm going to switch them out for some Nitto Noodles or a "Promenade" style bar once I make up my mind.
The track ends are stock Surly with Sinz tensioners.

i've looked all over and never an Omnium built up tarck style so I'd be interested to see any pictures of other peoples. and I'll take tarck as a compliment since it was meant to be over the top stupid.

Yeah, 700c BMX. Rad.

The bike isn't real (obviously). I just photochopped a pista concept and the big ripper together. If you could get a seatpost that long, you could get a proper fit on it. Smaller tires would probably bring the bottom bracket too low for riding fixed though.
