Just posted my smurfette on the forums, and am so proud, here she is again.
42-18. schwinn le tour that I haven't even look up the serial # for b/c it is japan made, and clean enough for me not to care. Front brake is schwinn approved, which is good enough for me. Sweet blue michelins, suzue rear hub, on a mavic ma3 rim. Front wheel is from a found in the trash bike that I rode hard for 3 years now, 105 hub I just overhauled, on a wolber super champion rim. when the lbs guys said I could service the 105 hub and the wolber rim was a toughie, I was cool with it. It is still true after 3 years of ball bustin' haulin my 240 lbs a$$ around. Got the frame on ebay, seems schwinn's are some of the only 63C-C frames, cuz I need a hugie. and it was cheap. mostly orig parts, spd pedals, 175 rsx crank from crap bin for $15, Terry saddle b/c noone carries anything else around here.

My Rossin...

[IMG][/IMG]

Ofmega crank, BB, Headset, Hubs.
Tuffo S22's on Ambrosio Montreal rims.
ITM bar, Specialized stem.
Pimpin snakeskin SLR on a cheap a$$ kaloy post.
I plan on blingin' her out in the near future, probably go the color matching rim/tape/saddle route. I cant decide between red or yellow, opinions?

ok, so its an ugly ugly ugly bike but i am madly in love with it. 42/16 a bunch of no name jazz. and yes, there is no chain, i bent the first one and my friend is borrowing the chain tool right now, so soon. but hey for a first fixie its bloody great. and i plan to hacksaw off that extra chain ring in front, its a a one piece i pulled off an old raleigh.

HACKSAW?

That's the same crank I had on a Supa GranPrix, no hacksaw needed.

?

Sorry -

On with the show.

there is an extra 52t chain ring in front that is just taking up space, if you figured out to seperate the two without a hacksaw or other cutting device, please let me know.

first post, first fixed.

my late '60s Carlton Catilina, converted chrome touring frame. It used to have a patchy translucent orange factory paintjob, which i've almost completely stripped. just added the nitto dynamic stem and no-name drop bars. next step: shorter fork (a vintage chrome murray) and new wheelset. shouts to everyone in chitown.

I've previously posted my Fixie and just came in from an outing on my old single-speed. It's a 24 inch Hiawatha with 26 inch wheels. It will go anywhere. I had to shim the front fork with brass so the front tire doesn't rub. It's really a beautiful steel ride. It was painted by someone long ago and I'm thinking of painting it this winter. Any suggestions for a color?
