Not quite as nice as many many stunning bikes in this thread, but here are my homemade contributions:
1) 1999 Gary Fisher Kaitai. This bike was my first real mountain bike and it served (still serves) me well. ALL of the major components except the tires, brake pads, brake cables, and one crank arm are all original Even through the SS conversion (32x16 gearing), which I have been riding hard going on 3 seasons now, this bike has been an absolute blessing. I even raced her last year in a 14 mile XC race...never missed a beat. After every ride, I am always amazed it made it to the end Anyhow, here she is!
2) This is a 2000? Surly Instigator. I found the frame pretty cheap, and I really just kind of put it together last spring without thinking about what I would be using it for. Like the Fisher, it is 32x16, but I switch it to 32x18 when I put the 2.5's on it. Regardless, It is a blast to ride and cruise around town with it, and I will probably never part with her. It has at least 1 part from every bike I have owned on it...just keeping the legacy going. Lately, the Surly has been bring me to and from work.
With 1.95 tires, the fatties fit fine frame makes them look a road tire
Hope you enjoyed them! Of course, I washed them after the photos
Kevin
