A front brake is most advisable. The coaster brake may fail after a long descend, like happened to me!

Good advice, I hadn't thought of that. I'll probably slap one on anyway, because this summer I'll buy a fixed wheel for it, so I can switch back and forth as I please.

DoshKel 04-02-07 03:23 PM

Whats the thing on the end of the stem?

jacobpriest 04-02-07 03:27 PM

[sorry, I have a ****ty camera]
Soma Rush. I ordered it at Harris Cyclery and it just arrived there this morning. The order was placed on Thursday, so the shipping was faster than I expected. I just finished putting it together. The only problem I had was with the bolt for the seat post clamp. It was threaded wrong and had to saw it off, but luckily I had an extra.
Wheels: Phils 32 holes [double-fixed] on open pros
cogs: 17t EAI and 15t dura ace.

1" threadless. 55cm square
cranks: sugino RDs
bars: nitto b123
stem: dimension 26mm, 90mm length with shim for 25.4 bars.

edit= man I wish I had a coffee holder yesterday. I had to ride to starbucks for an expresso for a chocolate mousse I was making, and at least a third of it was lost on the way back

BuddyMike 04-02-07 06:05 PM

thanks for making it look somewhat better. Its a 4 year old digital camera that eats batteries.

No way, I love the track grips! That thing is hot. What kind of frame is it?

DoshKel 04-02-07 06:33 PM

With a KHS fork.

Best idea ever.

dylandom 04-02-07 06:35 PM

looks like a bareknuckle

sniks 04-02-07 06:44 PM

pista. I think didn't have a spinergy on it a one point?

savier_pdx 04-02-07 06:48 PM

yeah it's a pista with a khs fork. it did have a spinergy, and it may again soon once summer gets here.

when i got it back from powder coat, i thought to myself, "**** looks like a bareknuckle."

cc700 04-02-07 07:15 PM

take the bike outside, the camera will be less ****ty when you give it what it wants(light)

besides, who rides their bike in their bedroom?

I just put it together in my room before I took the pic. Plus, my rollers are in my room.

cc700 04-02-07 07:35 PM

i retract my previous statement:D

and i didn't mean to rush you. just saying, it's hard to take a good picture in a bedroom... the people that can do it get into art galleries.

br995 04-02-07 07:45 PM

The top tube pad at the blue pista is awesome. Where's it from?

Wheels are temporary, lugs are masked so I can paint them silver.

it's a tubular and i just don't want to deal with that **** in the rain. it'll be back on there soon most likely.

also the tt pad is a reload to whoever asked.

tonym 04-02-07 08:05 PM

fork crown might get jealous of the other lugs
