Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Never seen a Peugot track frame before. It looks exactly like a Gitane Kilo, cept for the fork crown engraving and, obviously, the decals. Looove the colors. Too bad Peugot made so many klunkers, cuz that one's hot.

Endo-shi - love my Samson as well, but I don't know if it's the ultimate. I'm still waiting to road test my friend's '76 Pogliaghi wall decoration before I make a decision. Stupid collectors.

If I ever wanted a retro-ish lugged track frame, this Peugeot would be high on my list. Such a beautiful fork, that one...

I've seen curved seat tubes before, but this one looks like it's running away from the rear wheel.

I had a general idea of what it is after you told me it was njs and after I got my panasonic. I have the same seat cluster on my bike.

This school computer is blocking DerekRI's pictures, and I can only assume it's the mystery bike. And I can only assume it looks gewd.

How do you guys slow down with out brakes? I would have had too many accidents with out my front brake.

I have tried back pressure, and attempted skidding, but at the last moment i just reach for my brake, theres no way i could have stopped with out it (many cases).

And im only running 69gi.

My first fixed gear build, put together on the cheap for the most part (I splurged on a new saddle).

c. 1934 Macleans Featherweight with Campy hubs, Williams cottered cranks and Mafac brakes. Hub doesn't take a lockring, so I kept the brakes.

I'm glad spring has finally arrived so I can ride it!

Cheers.
