Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

T.I.P., nice ride, I can't wait until I can afford to build a townie.

I would use flipped Soma Sparrow bars myself, but the porteurs would work too

Hrm, why are those so cheap? They look okay but for 23$USD a pair, I am wondering what the catch is.

He used to come into the shop I worked at with the most amazing track bikes from time to time, way before the NJS fetishization of everything. He always was embarrassed at the attention we showed toward his bikes. I tried for soooo long to get him to build me a frame, but he was super flakey and I just figured he didn't really want to do it and gave up.

Is William still in LA?

as far as an LBS. the one on base only caters to MTB's. besides he's a ripoff. nice enough guy though. i'll usually head out to Seoul to Kevinbike for anything else (rarely). It's close to the Nambu Bus Station.

I normally just ride around the base. with my work load, its hard to get out all the time.

Where are you from? military? or just living out here?
