hey tehz... how do you like those fenders? do they feel solid on the bike? noise? would they clear 35 cross tires? i've been thinking about getting some for this winter.

yep thats my beater too.

I use the SKS Raceblades on my IRO and I'm a pretty big fan. The coverage is always totally adequate, my biggest gripe with them is that they rattle or sometimes even pop of when I hit something harsh like railroad tracks.

Edit: New question. Is there any reason not to get the 45mm SpeedEz fenders (instead of the 35mm) besides price/weight? Seems like they'd offer more coverage/be more versatile.

not that i can think of. Unless:
1. they physically won't fit under your fork crown or between your seat/chainstays
2. you care about the aero differences
3. 45mm fenders look a bit weird with 23mm tires.

personally, i'd just get the regular 35mm freddy harcores and some p-clips

hehehe i found some fenders like that (long story short; score!) and they work pretty good, but they get loud on rough road
