Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Low flange C-Record...probably the nicest looking hub Campy ever made.

And tubulars aren't the suck. FLAT tubulars are the suck.

Just finished this one. its a mid 80s Specialized sirrus.
4130 DB cro-mo,mostly all parts i had laying around. The only things i bought were the crank and seat.
Repainted it Grabber green with pearl clear coat,it really glimmers in the sun.
I also removed all braze ons and der. hanger.
Only bad part of this bike is now i need money,so Im fighting with myself on wether or not to post it locally on craigs list.

This is my 29er
So far all Ive upgraded was the seat, pintle(half link) chain and chain tensioner.

you either:

Granted, that looks pretty good.

I love the blue on the late 70 Schwinns.

Keep an eye on that rear brake cable. With the opening of the cable pointed up, water can drip in when it's raining and rust the inside of the cable, causing poor braking. Just keep an eye on it.

Just a plain old RedLine 925. Drop bars, Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow, Look Pedals and Avocet FasGrip K20 32mms. I bought the bike with the intention of getting S&S couplings put on it and using it as my travel bike. I ride it fixed but it is set up as fixed/free. I would like to switch to Phils in fixed or fixed-fixed with Deep Vs to match my road setup.

they really are tricky with bull horns that point up. if you are wearing wide leg jeans, roll them up as they will get caught under your hands or on the bars. be prepared to walk it out and drop your pretty bike.
odds are if you worry about eating it you will. so dont worry about it. watch a bunch of people on youtube do them first. because i do them differently than the way the guy i ride with does them because of my bars. lean forward, keep your head up. your bike will go the direction your head is pointing.

and do a forum search

I have no idea what year it is. Probably mid eighties. It is "Made in Italy" and is also lugged. When did Bianchi stop making lugged frames? Has ofmega BB and headset and modolo brakes. The BB and headset are both pre cartridge bearings. No lawyer tabs either.
