Just ordered some Kreitler's
Dyno-Mytes to be specific.
Who's gonna be spinn'n like a mother ****er? oh yeah, me. |
<lazy> Mine sit in the corner of my room. </lazy>
|
4.5 is cooler than 2.25
you fail j/k spinning FTW!!...rollers are gonna make me get on some rocky **** |
Why would you want 4.5?
I'd personally rather have more resistance, it's not like i'm not going to be able to spin on them, i just will also get a better workout from it? |

i log 3k+ hilly miles per year, roughly 1/2 fixed, and my 4.5s work me pretty hard with a 48x17. |
I have the middle resistance ones - 3" drums - lyte, myte?? Not sure of the name. There is no substitute for Kreitler. I got my sis a pr in 1991, and she still uses them every winter (she got me into cycling yesteryear) and only had to replace the belts a couple of times.

I like the idea that you can just remove air from your tires if you want more resistance, although I'm sure that might affect handling too...
for me working on spinning usually entails riding at higher rpm's than I would necessarily like to, so that I can heighten that threshold when I'm going at maximum effort on a higher gearing... plus the big rollers look cooler...switching gears wouldn't be the worst thing |

And, considering that this is the Singlespeed & Fixed Gear forum, that is the most important element in making a bike related purchase. No?
