Considering the blacked-out Mavic/Formula wheelset can be seen on conversions everywhere but never the plain silver version, that's not an untrue statement.

black and allblack wheelset is the way to go. NMSW black rims are my #1, too. if you do some whack pastel colors i won't be buying. Black gives the buyer a lot of choices on buying anodized items and colored tires, etc later if they want. An "eggplant" or "taupe" bike only appeals to a small cross section of buyers.

thats why there is an overwhelming opinion aiming for white/chrome/brushed steel. because all of these colors are also good for the black. If you would have read the original post completely he said he was keeping black and green but wanted to introduce another few colors, thats where the suggestions come in.

and for me if he can be convinced to make a 55cm i will be buying one of these, if he cant, i'll be buying an IRO.

So you need a high-end steel track frame to match your anodized parts to?

i ride 55 regularly. the 53 fits me fine. don't run your stem way low and you should be fine, and if that's too small than step it up to 57.

this pro tt sounds awesome. i'll be buying by then, so more than likely i'll be picking one up. and i'll echo a lot of other posters here and say that purple, light blue, white, and brushed steel would be ideal.

one suggestion, however: since it's apparently cheaper to place your decals under the clearcoat, have you considered making your decals match up better? it seems people aren't digging the top tube/down tube/fork blade decals, but loving the seat post and steerer tube decals, or vice versa.

I'd vote in favor of the seatstay/headtube style over the downtube/fork one.

thats the thing though, i ride 56-57 comfortably and if these run a bit large then the 57 will be too big for me and the 53 will be too small for me, i just dont get why he wouldnt want to make a 55 which is probably the most common size for people to be riding, i mean its not like he's having trouble selling through these things to begin with so why wouldnt he want to just offer something more specific that several people, myself included have suggested, i cant see it costing him any more to produce one in this size so why wouldnt he offer it.
Thats my thoughts on the matter.

Cream/off white

baby blue

I'll be in the market to upgrade my current tt by then. Sounds like a solid deal.

Pretty sure just about no one would be disappointed with Nagasawa red or 3Rensho blue. I really miss having a red frame...

wine red / burgundy / maroon. anything dark between red and purple!

i wish there was a 55cm too. i'm confused as to why there isn't, considering it would be a VERY popular size and these bikes sell so amazingly anyway.
