check out gamma ray, they are space/futuristic power metal

for fantasy, rhapsody (of fire) is really good and accessible

Lucid Interval. Pretty good album. Except for that acoustic track...

Meshuggah is the only metal band I actually like.

While their riffs sometimes seem redundant, if you're into odd meters, Meshugga is a must.
