Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Check out your local bike message boards' buy/sell/trade sections. Here in Van some very nice people with wicked parts bins read those boards.

Bunny Hop on Broad & Lombardy, and ReCycles on Cary St. Just east of Boulevard. Luke (@ Bunny Hop) is awesome. ReCycles is all volunteer, they've got super cheap stuff. I've had more success with those guys than gambling with eBay and Craigslist....

+1 to Recycles. Its hit or miss, but I got Ti bar ends there for $5, and its a great place for brakes, chainrings, and cranks. They also told me that if anyone is needing 26" forks that they have a schload of them and would like to get rid of them. Mostly threaded.

bike co-ops and internet message boards. I'm pretty sure every single bike in my stable has at least two parts on it from bikeforums trades.
