|
youve missed the point of the thread
|
We should mark people riding this bike as outcasts, just to spite this Manifold Man (if that's even his real name)

The bike ain't so horrible but the copy for the frame description on the
Fisher site reads: "Fisher VS full cromoly horizontal drops, fender and rack mounts" http://www.fisherbikes.com/bike/model/triton Ok fender and rack mounts are good, but what are horizontal drop[out?]s and thanks for the chromo but what about other tubing attributes--butting? For 600 some odd bucks it seems you could do worse (or better with a Flite 100), but could they get some better info? |

From the subject of this thread
Thought you all might like to see what I really thought. Hope you enjoy.

Huh.
|
Mani, I don't think any of the people in here are any different than the dozens you interviewed regarding fixed gear bikes. They dis as anyone you spoke with face to face would have, because of the hype you attempted/failed to generate with your exciting copy.
|
Oh I get it, it was just a misunderstanding. When you said x you meant y. Thanks for clearing that up.

What's wrong with that bike?
By the time I had my $350 Kilo TT setup the way I wanted it my total out the door cost was $600+. Sometimes I don't understand the hipster/fixie mentality. Oh, and I rock both a front and rear brake. /goes back to the road forum |

That's one sweet ass ride.
|
i actually saw one of those the other day, the thinggie on the handlebars goes around, it looks like it's a place to put your lights/bell/speed-o-meter.
I know that no one really cares, but i thought it was neat-o. |

This place is full of haters but for every 1 person who posted something snide, 20 didn't think there was anything wrong with what you wrote. Don't sweat it, just enjoy the bike.

props for even riding a bike at all, but getting hyped on "bike culture" and trying to be "accepted in the fixie/singlespeed community" rings as superficial. Ride your bike because you like riding your bike, everything else is secondary. Don't ride your bike because you're in love with the image of it.

who are you to tell someone else why they should ride a bike? some people ride bikes cause it's cool right now. some people ride cause they can't afford a car and/or hate public transpo. some people ride cause they got a DUI. some people ride for fitness. some people ride for the environment. some people ride cause it's fun. in the end, everyone who's riding a bike isn't driving an SUV so who cares why they're doing it?
Now I'm all morally confused... |
