Busted by F-Tard Security riding to my office

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Busted by F-Tard Security riding to my office

Here is the EM.

I commute to work daily unless it's snowing - so I've missed several days this winter thus far. I'm able to open the doors and ride all the way to my office w/o unclipping.

I get to work around 6-630 and never see anyone and pass zero people in the hall to get to my office. The urge to reply 'get a F-ing life you sack of S civilians' was pretty strong, but I with held

Subject: Campus Safety (cycling)

Carl,
I have received several reports from our security staff with regards to cycling inside the building. Yesterday an alarm was created at the exterior entrance to building 1 as you were entering without dismounting. Our guard reported that she had spoke with you on Dec 20th and asked that the cycle not be ridden inside the building. Today I received another report that you were observed on camera riding the cycle as you badged into 11A ,down the ramp, and then into the NOC area. For Safety/Security reasons Corporate Facilities is requesting that you please do not ride you cycle within the building. We appreciate your cooperation with this request.

Thank you

Wait, why do you need to ride a bike inside your building? Did you not anticipate people taking issue with this?

But at the same time, it's pretty damn funny that he got an email from the Senior manager of Corporate Facilities Management about it.

Hold out until the CEO contacts you.

Sounds like non-cyclists hating on us for whatever reason BUT, your antics will only cause more strife at your workplace for other cyclists and yourself down the road. I would just cool it and than make some jokes about it later.

Sounds like you perpetuated the US's global economic policy of bombing brown people.

You are a civilian now, even if you are in the reserves. You are not superior. You are not your f'n khakis.

You can't ride a bike indoors. Deal with it.

As I told my friend's dad barking orders at me after he retired from the Army, "Ed, You're not a Colonel, anymore".

Cops and Military People are not special. The rules apply to you.

Suck it up and quite crying. You got a polite email warning after a previous verbal warning. I think I know who the F-tard is...

Maybe next time they'll taze you, now that would be a thread worth reading.

my old office was stupid strict with this sort of stuff.

however, i get the impression you just aren't dismounting sassily enough. throw a little flare into that kevin bacon hop-off and soon they'll encourage you to ride in.

i'm gonna leave myself a post it note for after lunch to work on my kevin bacon dismount.

I get to work at 0600 0630 - the building is virtually empty.

I have ridden successfully to my office - only about 100x before - literally 100x with zero issues ever.

Yes, I think that security getting huffy @ this is a f-ing joke. If I am not disturbing anyone, ever, what's the big deal? There have been zero complaints from my coworkers @ my riding. Its' not like I'm knifing through crowds of people entering the office

This is another example of S-stain people with literally nothing to do, getting all excited about a complete hooligan on the rampage - or a guy riding 50 yards down an empty hall to an office -

All of the people here against me - let me guess - if you're at a red light (stoplight) you sit there until it turns green EVERY TIME - regardless if there are zero cars around. Correct? Geesus...

it costs them nothing to let you ride your bike inside, that's the annoying thing. they're just bureaucrats following a guideline. Which everyone thinks is perfectly reasonable since they're not letting the OP ride his bike inside....but there are just as many buildings where the guideline is to not allow bikes in the building. Like at my high school. I have to sneak it in (I keep it in the shop, WITH the teacher's knowledge) and get treated like a criminal when I get found out. And it costs them nothing to let me keep it inside....

Lots of offices, workplaces, etc. have exactly the same policy and it's total bull****.
