Maserati, SS?

OK, Here's a Maserati bike that I've been thinking on making SS because it fits me and just looks sexy, but I've been offered a Schwinn Premis and a Bridgestone 400 in trade for it, both bikes are in great shape but at least one will be converted, I need some advice on which bike would be a better SS as all three are my perfect size :) here's pics of the Maserarti :D

I'd take the Bridgestone, but I'm a nut for most of what they build. The 400 isn't a top end bike, but it's still really well built and I haven't heard anything about Maseratis. Build whatever you want though.

Edited for clarity.

The trade would be for the Schwinn Premis AND the Bridgestone 400, so I guess the question is which of those two would be a better SS :)

And I completely skipped over the part where you'd get a Premis at the same time. IIRC, those were some of the better Schwinns in the late 80's and early 90's and made out of Columbus Tenax.

Do some homework, but definitely choose whatever you'd ride the most. Just because one frame is supposedly better than the other and saves you a few ounces doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be happier with it.

For what it's worth, I'd keep the Bridgestone geared and upgrade the drivetrain.

yeah, do the trade, ride 'em, play with 'em, you'll have to spend some personal time with the bikes to get to know them well enough to figure out which you want to convert.

Does riding with a missing brake bolt count as being brake-less?

Im going to go for the trade :) I know it's missing the brake bolt but it doesn't/didn't matter as Ive never really ridden it :o

The front deraileur looks a little high too.

Yeah but it serves its purpose which right now is to do absolutely nothing!
