I've been using speediums for commuting on my road and fg bike... so far so good.

=)

I used orange rattle can paint on a set of tires. They lasted for years.

in case you all don't know, OP is doing this for a senior project at his high school.
so he really doesn't need to care about performance.
he's just gonna skid once and then get a B- or something.

I'd bump it up to an A- if he gets leg over bars skids down.

Go for the gold.

Also, what kinda sweet school is this where you build a bike for a grade?

this is a modern high school, much like any in your own state of pennsylvania, where they make you complete a "senior project" to graduate. the whole thing is bull, i used a paper i was required to write for a class for my senior project.

JellyMeetsJam 01-14-08 10:03 PM

Is this a public school? If so, weird.

666pack 01-14-08 10:18 PM

yes.
it's pretty much to just make sure, one final time, that a child is not overly ******** before the school releases the student into the real world. either to go to college, join the army, or work at the jiffy lube on lancaster avenue.

you know... it's just to make sure no one slips by who can't complete an entirely open-ended project with no real grading scale.

RaeFixie 01-14-08 10:49 PM

haha i actually care about performance, however i need the look for my senior project to awe my teacher... but i do not have enough money to get that good of tires since i spent it on cranks, hubs, rims, frames, etc already....blah...
