Yeah, the crappy 22 year old stock headset on my Miyata is still as smooth as the NOS dura-ace headset on my Batavus, the dura-ace one is just has better seals and is easier to adjust. I don't really see the point in king headsets and the like, unless your doing crazy downhill MTB stuff where your headset actually takes a beating.
