It wasnt met literally. I cannot get to his face to stomp it as this is the internet. But I do refuse it and what it means. I wouldnt buy a single book or stencil from this artist.

dog-suit asphyxia on a saddle is bike-abuse,
holding aside for a moment the artistic merits
of the image (or demerits) just my opinion--OP can
put dog suiters or cat dicks under his arse if he likes,
really, it's all good.

It always amazes me how few people can find the humor in a dog costumed child hanging from a noose being printed on a saddle that will absorb all the wonderful smells of your gorilla bridge.

I've always been partial to brutalized stuffed animals in art though, so maybe I'm biased.

Cool idea.

Animals are innocent and helpless. Children are helpless. But grownup adults ("artists") who promote an image of hanging or abusing an animal - that person is no longer innocent. That act deserves retribution. "Face stomping" comes to my mind as a creative and artistic way to do it... thats all.

dude, seriously why do you assume an image endorses the act.
If you saw a picture of a klansman in the right context it would
be clear he was being villified. Just like a picture of a cop
on an old MDC album.

I kinda think it is more fit
for a gallery, not a saddle.

Blue by Day, White by Night? Point taken. This is getting out of hand. I said I admire his other work... OK?

On the technical side of things, does the laser etching machine require a flat surface to be usable? Is it something that you can upload your file to and have a computer figure out how to draw it, like a cnc machine?

it can etch cylindrical and spherical (to some extent) objects with a rotary attachment. irregular planes are sort of tricky though, because the focus doesn't auto adjust during etching. that would require too much motion in the machine as the focus is set by adjusting the height of the bed.

as for file transfer--yes. i send it vectors from corel draw with differnt colors mapped to different wattage/power/frequency settings for differing effects. so, in that respect, it's a lot like a CNC.

OK again, you are right - in that context. I didnt see this image in the same way. Its all cartoon-like and pseudo-cute juxtaposed to the horrible image of a puppy being hung. I get it - the contrasts, etc. I just don't like it and feel offended by his image. If thats what he wanted, great he got it! The unfortunate thing is, all the other political stuff he's got in his portfolio is awesome and just as challenging... but it doesnt need to have a freking puppy on it. So, my gut reaction is - I'd never support this artist. I think the puppy images suck and are horrible.

but it's a child! it's not a puppy.

man, you know how many kids kill puppies a year?
i seen it in the wikiality. it's lots.

we 're on the same side, you and me. we're saving puppies by hanging children. it's like UNICEF working for the ASPCA or something.

I 90% think u are ok. I love the stencil art and the possibilities of plastering Seattle w/it for *****s and giggles, but I have an issue that you are making light of. In my old age I now luv animals more than people. Kids come in 2nd. I'm sure the rest of the board will love your hung puppy or a kid, whatever the f*ck it is... Good luck! I'm changing the channel to nascar and juggs.

dude, seriously.

i wanted to say that if you think art that offends your sensibilities deserves a face stomping, you need to stay the **** away from museums, galleries, or just plain old art in general; but i think a better piece of advice might just be for you to have a long hard thought about liberty/freedom/whatever and what these factors mean in your life. meet violence with violence if you must, but personal expression (that doesn't hurt anyone) countered with violence is infinitely more ****ed-up than the **** you're railing against.

i'm not sure if there's been any artistic argument. i don't like the image, and it does make me a bit uncomfortable. these two things are totally unrelated, i have some trevor brown art on my wall that i love but is WAY more ****ed-up than the OP's graphic. the argument (as it is) has really been about the acceptability of smashing in faces when people say or draw things that we don't like.

look, dumbf*ck, i used the "facestomping" as a creative way to express my displeasure. You see, I too am an artist. I get all creative and "artisic" with my violent words. The image of me stomping the living ***** out of this other artist is my personal gift to you, the viewer. Now let me create my violent expressions w/out anymore backtalk from your dumbass peanut gallery.
