Redline 925 or IRO Mark V
I was originally thinking of picking up a 925 frame and fork for 170 locally through craigslist, but recently I changed my mind...I am thinking about the Mark V (the 925 is heavy and its just one of those bikes that you always see with stock parts, so it would be weird to have a custom build up). The Mark V also looks sleeker but it would cost me $250 direct from IRO. What do you guys think about each frame?

i wouldn't pay more than 150 for an iro (markV or Angus). it was too much work to make my GB work out for me. no experience with the jamie or rob roy.

This is simple.
Want to run full coverage fenders? - 925
Don't care? - Mark V

Redline. Iro's have wicked-short seat-tubes, so you've either got to jack up the stem with a bunch of spacers, or else deal with a wicked seat-bar drop. The Redline geo looks a lot more reasonable to me.

IRO is fine if you insist on new. Otherwise look for a good 4130 or better tubed steel frame. I think flea markets/waste recycle centers are the place to go for finding a fixie frame.
