Cinelli criterium vs Nitto B-125
I'm looking to switch to drops from risers for street riding, I like the look of both these bars as a happy medium between road/track. I have a bunch of 25.4 stems so I like the idea of the B125 but it seems that the criterium has less drop (but I can't find the reach/drop measurements when I google).
Anyone have pics of the 2 side by side? Or good feedback on either? thanks! |
Never ridden the Crit, but I believe they are grooved for cables. I think that the grooves would start to bug me riding that for very long.

Some of 'em aren't. The Crits are aluminum, the 125's of similiar price on the 'bay are CrMo, I'd go with the crits if you see a good deal, or 125aa's if you see a good deal on those.
Edit: Keep in mind, both are "shallow drop", where b123's and bonzo's and that lot are "deep drop". |

risers to track drops for street riding? i'd go with the classic nitto drop if you must have drops.

no, apparently not. although phenomenon makes it sound special.

I've used both bars. The Cinellis are way better. Problem is the drop was a bit too shallow. I like my bars low and I found I could hit my forearms on the top of the curve of the bar out of the saddle.
As has been said above, you'll need the right size stem. The Cinelli Crits are not going to fit in a stem designed for Nitto bars. Get a nice Cinelli 1A stem to match. |
I have used both but I only ride steets and rarely get in the drops:o
I like the feel of the shoulder part of the Criteriums compared to the Nittos. The only part about Cinelli's I didn't like is that the bar feels wider than the Nitto counterparts and the narrowest Criteriums are 38cm. Maybe Cinelli and Nitto measure differently. 1A+65-38s: http://is.rely.net/1-5971-84140-l-r4...k1HaaM3ciw.jpg |
