Wow! And only $25 shipping......

frankstoneline 01-28-08 01:39 AM

Buy some 20 dollar platforms. You'll never be happier till you invest in clipless.

pirate 01-28-08 03:11 AM

Quit stealing my username, you punk *****!

just kidding.

I have a rino road pedal on my bike, its pretty nice. The ones you posted look way overpriced. Try some mks gr-9s instead.

InternetDisease 01-28-08 07:21 AM

just because you have a fixed gear or track bike, does not mean you need track pedals, especially not at this price.

ralphm2k 01-28-08 07:48 AM

Those are good looking pedals.

What part of the trend haven't you been paying attention too?

I_luv_hooters 01-28-08 08:53 AM

i'd buy them if i were you. they must be good since they are track. make sure u have a green bike to go with them.

reckon 01-28-08 09:24 AM

actually they are junk,...but decent junk,...but at that price?

$85 is too high for those pretty little cerrote's (spanish)

I'd get some platforms with clips (like $25 complete at nashbar or performance) or spend THAT kinda munny on some clipless pedals like some ugly ass frogs: which are the BEST pedals you will ever hate, or time atac's or something worthy of upwards of $85 of your hard earned

sp00ki 01-28-08 11:09 AM

aren't they loose ball?
also, it seems that the clips look like a pita to get replacements for. t/f?

while those clips aren't as common as the standard design that 90% of people run, i do see them posted up here quite frequently and i know they're available... i think at aebike or universal bike... one of those generic-looking websites.

You can get some used RX-1s for that price.

pirate. 01-28-08 03:03 PM

yeah the shipping is stopping me from buying them, i think im gonna go with gr-9's.

Good call. Get the Soma four-gate clips too.

pirate. 01-28-08 03:19 PM

Improvise.

doomkin 01-28-08 03:31 PM

doesnt look like there's any bite to those pedals - i'd imagine you'd have plenty of trouble keeping your foot from slipping around.

i'd also have to say that the little tooth on the bottom is a bit stubby too, i like mine nice and sharp so they'll flip up nicely regardless of my shoes.

I don't see why not.

pirate. 01-28-08 05:31 PM

there's nothing for the front strap to thread through?

JohnnyDoyle 01-28-08 07:51 PM

They look like an anodized, platform version of the old dura-ace track pedals. Not sure about the price, but they sure are purdy.

get some extra long bolts for the toeclips, so they make a "tunnel" you can thread the front strap through.

666pack 01-28-08 09:14 PM

on further investigation... do those pedals have a screw that goes through the strap to keep it in?
there aren't any tunnels/gates on those pedals at all.
