Is there a significant difference between a White Industries front hub and a Shiamno Ultegra hulb like the one Igneous Faction posted?

Which model of DT Swiss or Sapim spokes would be the most structurally sound?

Technically yes. The ultegra is a little heavier and they are different internally, but its all basically irrelevant. They are both reliable hubs and will work just the same.
