15/17 fixed/fixed?
is it possible to run a fixie/fixie setup on a fluip-flop hub with a 15t cog on one side and a 17t cog on the other or would that require a tensioner?? I'm not particularly fond of tensioners and would prefer to avoid using one, by the way I don't have horizontal dropouts.

I think a two tooth difference could be taken up by sufficiently long horizontal dropouts, which you don't have. I think your only other option is the ENO hub. Don't know how much adjustment that has, but it costs a good bit more.

Do you have vertical dropouts? I have a feeling that you actually do have horizontal dropouts, but you are confusing that term with track ends. Pics please.

I run a 18/15 on my fuji and it works fine. make sure you have long enough drop outs.

You would need .5" usable dropout space for it to work.

Two teeth add only 1/2" of extra wrap because the chain only goes around half the cog. Divide in half again because of the chain going from cog to chainring twice to get 1/4".

Ok, so just to add fuel to the fire...what about NON-vertical drops using a chain-tensioner? I have a flip-flop hub & have thought about adjusting the gearing & have seen pics/posts regarding the goodspeed chain tensioner...

Is this crap? Am I showing how new I am? Or just missing something? (and yes there are other options & a combo available).

Are you running fixed? If yes, then you can't run a tensioner. If single-speed, then yes.
