Nashbar.com has a sale

I just saw the REI sale on here and wondered if any other online site was doing it. Sure enough nashbar.com has a 72hour sale. I don't know when it started or when it ends but they have a big sale on saddles and seat post.

every now and then i'll check nashbar and there won't be a big sale going on ;). it way better than performance, where there is ALWAYS a sale. i feel like i'm being tricked shopping there; why not make everything the "sale" price it always sells at, and not try and stick me with some gimmick? oh well, bar tape for $4 can't be beat somedays no matter how you slice it.

Nashbar & Performance "sale" emails usually arrive within an hour of each other, considering they're the same company.

If somebody else (i.e. Cambria) has a different sale, Nashbar/Performance usually matches the offer within 24 hours via email.

I'm also noticing that Nashbar/Performance's "sale" prices are no different than what they were selling items for 2 months ago. They just jack up the MSRP to make it look like a deal.

Their SS conversion kits have gone up in price the last 6 months. Ditto for their house brand road wheels.

I need these bars badly. I got the mail catalog and they're listed as $24, the website says $34. WTF...

10 grams heavier, but $15 cheaper. Just pee before each ride and you'll save more than 10 grams.

Sick looking 650c tires $14

This is exactly why I've pretty much stopped shopping at Nashbar. Over the last year their prices have gone way up. When you factor in shipping and taxes they are quite expensive, even when the have a 'sale'.

FWIW, I've found that AE Bike can often beat Nashbar's pricing.

i got some campy road stuff there a month or so ago during their 'warehouse clearance sale'...

centaur carbon square-taper double, 170, 53/39 - $90
centaur grey ano brake caliper set - $40
shipping - ~$10

that's pretty interesting, if you ask me. you just gotta catch the genuine specials.

Thanks for that link! It's hard to find the S-curve type bars that have tops parallel to drops and aren't super expensive.
