So i took out my rollers for the first time this year hopped on them and it feels like im riding on 3 really wide eggs! I searched around a bit lookig for new drums,all i could find was kreitler drums. Does any one know of a place where i can get new 3 1/4 aluminum drums that arnt the price of new rollers?? Im assuming i could replace them with a difrent companys set of drum because the only thing that will matter is the size of the threaded rod that sticks out right? there all around the same size id imagine....Any imput would be great.

are you sure its not your rims?

yep my rims are a month old. i spin my rollers and i can see a wobble i even got out my calipers yep there eggs.

Talk to the company who made the rollers before you go fooling around. Some rollers are parabolic, are you sure that's not what you have?

yes i know there screwed up. and i know what parabolics are and i dont have them. there pvc rollers that have been exposed to heat and sunlight which does crazy **** to pvc! I already wrote nashbar. Just waiting for a responce i doubt there warrentyable because there a bit older. Just weighing my options..if theres only 4 comments in a thread do the world a favor and actually read more than the OP...

Please post your findings. I have an old set of egg rollers that I would like to fix.

Most rollers don't have the same bolt sizes, or even the same mounting systems. Unfortunately you're seeing why plastic in rollers isn't a good idea. I've even seen the plastic endcaps on Kreitlers go bad.

Ya i know what your saying luckily i didnt even pay for them some onegave them to me a couple of years ago. i was just seeing if there was a cheaper route that i could maybe go to bring new life to them.. Aparently im gonna have to spring for a pair thats good.. thanks for the guidence 11.4
