what saddle to buy?

what saddle to buy?
I've got the stock saddle on my fuji track and I can't ride it for more than half an hour b/c it rubs in all the wrong places. For people who ride in street clothes (no goofy padded spandex for me), what saddles do you find comfortable? I know this is a highly personal decision, but I'd just like to see if I can narrow the field a bit.

I've got a Selle Italia Flite and a Brooks Swift. I love both of them, but the Flite is a little more comfortable for me on long rides. Plus it was also about half the price, didn't require any breaking in, and its nice clean lines look pretty sweet on a track bike.

my fav is the old style WTB SST's. I just put an sst.2k on my crosscheck,. great saddle IMHO if you can find one. flites are good too, but a bit narrow for non-lycra use. maybe a brooks b-17? theyre a bit heavy though. if youre looking for something cheap(er), Ive got a new OEM fizik pave and a used specialized body geometry comp, neither of which I want- Id sell both for $30.

i have a selle italia flite, a vetta trishock TT, and a crappy kona seat.
they're all pretty comfortable, but i like the kona the best...probably the trishock second and the flite last...it's comfy, but it hurts my sit bones.

ok, just to make this more difficult, how about saddles that aren't leather? I'm a veggie and I'd like not to buy more dead cows. But, exempting a miracle vegan saddle made from bean curd and hemp, it looks like I'm off to the store for a flite. How about the difference between the flite with the center cut-out and the one without?

Seriously though, plenty of saddle makers make vinyl versions. Not sure about Selle Italia, but I've got a vinyl covered WTB on my fixed. They are definitely cheaper than the leather saddles. I like the WTB but it's a tad wider than my ideal saddle.

Besides the 3 Brooks models I'm happy with, the most comfortable saddle I own must be my 10 year old original Flite on my road bike.
