Skiing helmet for cycling?

Hey guys,

I got this idea from the helmet thread. I have a cycling helmet, but its purple and very early 90's and totally dorky, but I have a real nice helmet designed for skiing/snowboarding. I was wondering if it would be alright to use that helmet for cycling?

It may be a stupid question, but thats why I'm asking before I go and pull a dumb move.

Is it vented? I'm a sweat hog so I can't wear anything that's not vented.

Yes, it is vented quite well. You can even open and close the vents!

Also, the helmet I have right now is pretty old too...
