Raleigh Super Course bottom bracket threading?

Is it correct that the Raleigh Super Course uses standard English threading for the BB? A page on Sheldon's (RIP) site seems to indicate so:

Throughout the Bike Boom era, the Super Course was the least expensive Raleigh model to feature aluminum rims. It was also the least expensive model to use standard British tread [sic] dimensions, rather than the Raleigh proprietary threading used on bikes built at the Nottingham factory.
but I just wanted to confirm that this applies to the BB threads, and that a typical square taper 68 by 1xx mm bottom bracket will fit.

it certainly seems so but I would ask in C&V to double check someone there will know for sure

Yes Carlton built equals standard english threading, not the raleigh specific one. http://www.retroraleighs.com has all the info you could wan on old raleighs. I love Supercourses.

I recently bought a 1978 Super Course and the BB was standard English. (I worried about this as well.)

The crankset, OTOH, uses a funky obsolete BCD, so good luck getting chainrings.
