Hip pouch for camera?

I need a hip bag/pouch/holster for a smaller-sized Canon S5 . All I need it to do is carry the camera/lens barrel and a few filters. Any suggestions?

Here's a pic of what my camera looks like.

I'm in love with this: http://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/sc/323061...overview-1.gif

It's the Kata Sensitivity V.

It's the KATA Ergo-Tech KT A53Q

I'm a big fan of Kata. Go check them out, they've got TONS of stuff you're thinking of.

lowepro's photo runner and sideline shooter are pretty sweet. the former has a tuckaway hip strap and a removable hip strap, or at least it used to. the one i've used is several years old.

for what it's worth, i like the build quality on kata fine, but i've abused the crap out of my lowepro bags and they're still great. tamrac is the same way for their higher-end stuff.

I noticed that. It was never like that before. Maybe they got hacked or something.

I can stuff my 35mm into a 200 cu. in. seat bag. Not very accessible there, though.

These guys make the best hip pouches on the market. That said, I don't think any kind of hip pouch will work well with a camera of any significant weight, It'll rock back and forth way too much.

Something like this from Op/Tech would work way better:

Better yet, Crumpler makes some great inserts that'll work in a variety of messenger bags. Their only downside being the lack of instant accessibility.

I don't need instant accessibility. When I feel the need to shoot on the road, I'll just sling my camera over one shoulder. I just wanted something so that I didn't have to carry my larger mess bag and have the camera dig into my back in my bag.

I've got a friend making a custom bike-style hip pouch to fit my slr and a big wide angle lens, and thus also anything smaller in size. Should fit on a belt or slide over a messenger bag strap, giving fast and easy access even while riding. Really looking forward to it.

Domke F6 or the F-5Xb if your camera will fit in it.

Domke's bags tend to be less padded and have much less crap on them than other companies stuff but they are durable, well made and easy to work out of. They also look very plain and you get them in canvas or ballistic nylon though not sure about the F6 because it's pretty new.

I made my own. I carry my slr with my everywhere. I only ever take it off at my apartment.
The bag is waterproof and has room to carry a lot more stuff just in case, like lots of cough drops recently :(

I like Domke's stuff, but their canvas doesn't hold its shape enough for me unless you've got the bag completely stuffed with foam inserts.

As someone who has attempted to ride around with a full Domke bag I can tell you that: 1. it is not comfortable, 2. it is not stable in the least.

You do not, do not, want a shoulder bag for your equipment while riding.

That would work for his equipment - but just barely. I got one of those for my girlfriend and they're nice but not big enough for a decent sized SLR kit.

I went to the local camera shop and all the camera holsters that have belt loops have 3" belt loops. I bought a case logic holster a while ago that fit my camera perfect but it flops around like an elephant **** due to the 3" belt loop. I tried looking for a 2" cheapo belt at the shop but couldn't find one.
