Also, if I had a chocolate foot, I'd have eating it by now, and then where would I be. But, in the interest of actually being helpful to th OP, the Fixed Gear 101 that somebody already posted (http://www.63xc.com/gregg/101_1.htm) is good. And as someone else also posted: practice. I hit a few stop signs (not literally) on my daily ride, which I stop for (!) so I do a very brief trackstand there, and occasionally the one traffic light I hit is red, so I get a chance to try a trackstand there. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. When the weather warms up I'll spend more time outside on the bike and practice up on that. Also, learn the rear dismount. Thats a cool looking trick, and its dead simple. Sheldon Brown (RIP) can help with that (as always), and there are some vids on youtube. Finally, I wanna learn to ride backwards. Any suggestions? |

dont look at the wheel. i kinda zone out and stare at the ground. and try leaning over your handlebars more |
I had a dream where I could ride backwards. It was really disappointing when I got on my bike and realized I couldn't.

I was track standing today because of a sudden stop, my foot got stuck as I tried to pull it out and I went down! Hurt nothing but my ego luckily. lol at the dorm room stories.
