good idea/bad idea?
I was thinking of threading a freewheel onto one side of a fixed/fixed hub of mine. I think there's enough thread to thread contact for it, but I was wondering if anyone else has done this, or has had any experience with it.
Thanks in advance for the witty/sardonic retorts.

Supposedly this works A-OK in practice, although theoretically it may be slightly worse from a mechanical standpoint. That's why lots of people get fixed-fixed flip flop hubs even though they might want to run a freewheel at some point. All fixed leaves all possible options open.

no one actually does this.
the moment you attempt it, you'll cease to exist.

yeah, I dunno. I'm thinking of just switching to single speed, clipless, 49x16, skitching machine.
I still like to ride bmx all the time, and working on fixed for the last however many years, 5 days a week, I'm kind of over it as are my knees. Not to mention how much I really don't like fixed gear culture right now.
Also not to mention, how much I LOVE skitching.
ps- spooki, who are you? have we ridden bikes together? seen eachother on the street?
