halo, incident fork bent happen to me, sparton really does suck,

but this happen differently. Yesterday, i was dismounting my bike on downhill and i run next to my bike because i thought it was cool (i know it was stupid, i was just having fun) Anyway,when i try to catch the bike it was too late, the bike is running faster than me. It went to a curb and fly to a small tree... suddenly i heard flat tire.

i realized it today, it bent backward, but i got a benefit from it. i am now able to do barspin haha funny....

ah crappy man! i'd suggest looking over at spicercycles.com for an affordable replacement fork, i wouldn't really trust that fork bent for too long when it seems they're prone to bending in the first place.

Make sure your next fork has a brake hole.

well, i think you should use this as an excuse to learn barspins

my old crashed frame ended up with a 26" fork and front wheel on it for maximum goofoffery potential, but it's just a thrown together suicide hub ride with a gear ratio made for cruising around parking lots - not something that is used every day or to get around. but really it's up to you, you might be able to cold set it back into place and ride it fine. have it looked at at your shop and see what the mechanics there say.

how is it that you can barspin if your fork/wheel took the brunt of the forward impact from the tree? usually if your wheel smashes into something (while youre going forward) the wheel gets pushed closer to the downtube, making it harder to barspin.

the rake on the fork goes more toward the center. thus allowing you to barspin. it's like centering it. not smart though, i've seen people do that purposely to get tighter clearances, so dumb.

you need the wheel to be far enough away from the downtube to let the wheel spin with out hitting the downtube. you cant spin the wheel if the clearance is too tight.

That would be a horrible decision.
One of the many stock track forks being made right now by spicer, surly, etc. should be just fine.

i suck at math, but even i can figure out what you mean. the rake on the fork will be pushed back a bit, thus allowing the usually too long wheel base to clear the downtube. as it were though, it also slightly raises the front end of the bike a few degrees. that would mean the fork is f-d, and you should get a new one, threadless maybe, and you should also check the headtube for any sign of trouble as well. and quit talking like a moof. you live in washington. that does suck, i give you, but deal with it.

dude, if you push the wheel closer to the downtube while it is facing forward then when you face it backwards the wheel will be farther from the downtube than it used to be. thus allowing teh barsp1nz.

go to reycled cycles and get a used 1" threaded fork. cheap.

i'm pretty amazed the fork bent directly backwards, or close to it. hopefully that means the rim didn't take enough lateral force to bend it.
