Whats 5 degrees between friends? :p

Anyway, you know me, I'll build it however you want it. Unless it's ugly or stupid, of course.

What do you think about the removable brake housing guides idea? Flexibility being next to godliness and all, especially when you're ponying up for something custom.

Only thing I could see bad with the screw on cable guides is would it look like you had holes in your frame when they were not screwed in?

Not at all. The 'holes' would be bidon ( waterbottle ) bosses, and they'd be on the underside of the top tube so they'd be very stealth. With or without the guides screwed in it would be very clean.

Anyway, the idea's out there for anyone that wants it as a no cost option to their next Fixie.

That makes sense, wonder if you could use them as pegs to hold up a frame pump then also..

I like the black and white stripping along the top, out of curiousity have you ever done a whole frame that way? I wonder if would sort of camoflouge like a zebra going down the road..

Marsupial zebras? I'm glad I have beer tonight.

Who am I? Mario Cippollini? *Heh*

Do a Google Image search on 'Thylacine'. All will become clear, grasshopper.

Only if there's a picture.

What about "old school" campy style cable guides, no braze ons needed?

Marty

David Caradine wears a Q ray bracelette.. I'll not look to him for sage advice.

:D

Hey, in that concept, will the bottom brackette be higher than a track frame.. The idea bieng that you could get a decent sized crank on it?

Thylacine 10-30-03 04:14 PM

All Thylacine frames are custom, so anything reasonable flies. In my opinion a typical road fixie would probably have a road style BB height so you could run 170/175mm cranks, clearance for 30c tires etc. Coming off an actual track bike that you're riding on road, the difference would be pretty huge.

Well, you've just eclipsed my basic understanding of geometry. I was under the impression that you had some "pre done" frames, and that this was a concept due for "mass" production some time soon.
