That Motobecane sounds great! Way to include what Surly left out, with the eyelets and all.

delicious 04-08-08 10:32 AM

Awesome news. Do you have any pictures of the TT colors?

bali shag 04-08-08 10:33 AM

that motobecane frame is going to be my winter bike. hell yes.

mander 04-08-08 10:37 AM

I must say i like the cut of your jib bikesdirect. Have you guys got any plans to start shipping to Canada?

m4bandit 04-08-08 10:37 AM

Does anyone know if these will be with or without decals?

bonechilling 04-08-08 12:30 PM

They usually sell their stand-alone framesets without decals, so I'd presume that's going to remain the same.

andre nickatina 04-08-08 01:06 PM

I wish we could get an ETA on the Kilo TT Pro (hint, hint). As soon as it becomes available I'm ordering it and transferring everything over from my KHS... regardless of teh color.

~2 weeks on the frameset.

edit: wait. maybe not.

SeanBonham 04-08-08 01:15 PM

for serious?

andre nickatina 04-08-08 01:16 PM

But BD said 2 weeks for the Kilo TT and left out the word "Pro" when he said 2 weeks... and damn it I want my 55cm :(

delicious 04-08-08 01:17 PM

oh **** i'm dumb. i assumed he was talking about the pro framesets. it's a pretty convoluted post.

on a re-read it sounds like he MEANS TT pro, because he jumps from saying "tt pro completes are months off" because the parts are hard to get together right into "but the kilo frames will be here in two weeks"

SeanBonham 04-08-08 01:22 PM

I want a 55cm too, was just looking at their specs and I am not sure about the fit of the 53cm. I usually ride a 56cm. Hate small bikes...

andre nickatina 04-08-08 01:24 PM

Go 55 or 57 then. I like about a 55 but 53 is what I have and it works fine for me. Still wouldn't mind sizing up those 2cm if I upgraded.

NeilMonday 04-08-08 01:43 PM

I thought I remember hearing July-August for Kilo TT Pro frames from a different thread. Oh and did anyone else notice the built-in chain tensioners on the motobecane? niceeeee

andre nickatina 04-08-08 01:46 PM

Hot damn.

SeanBonham 04-08-08 01:57 PM

yeah they look some what like Paul drops:

but with rack mounts

ryanday 04-08-08 02:02 PM

Nevermind.

I like the Jury.

Awesome. I wouldn't mind one small decal maybe on the chainstay or something. That would still be brand recognition while allowing for a very clean look.

serac 04-08-08 03:17 PM

The Jury looks great! Can we get more detailed info on the geometry in each size? Good job with the fender eyelets. I'll use them here in Seattle!

dddave 04-08-08 03:31 PM

i don't think i've ever seen a kilo tt pro. any pics around? google image isn't helping.

It is true; factories have gotten so late and prices have gone up so much; that it is insane
the entire industry is all a buzz over it - especially the 20% minimum FOB OE price increases

I have a friend that sells simple 1-speed cruisers to dealers for $90 dealer cost and he is being pushed up to $120 almost overnight

Bad News: getting Kilo TT Pro in complete bike is taking forever. Still working on it - getting all parts is a pain

Good News: Kilo TT frames are at last on the water [no 55 yet] 50,53,57,60 in Black, White, Green and Orange - along with forks to match if wanted. In and on bikeisland in about 2 weeks or so. KILO TT bikes in 55 plus in new purple in about 3 months from now.

Great News: New Motobecane Jury Track/SS frame on the way - Same geo as a steamroller but with super nice dropouts, reynolds BD 520, trick seat cluster and VERY nice matching fork. Lots of room for tires; you can of course rin 20c or 23c - but also 38c or 42c. Sizes 49, 53, 56, 59, 62 C-T. COLORS: BLACK, ORANGE, BLUE, SILVER, and CHROME. Frames and forks in CHROME are more $$. Frame about $150 [$195 in CP] Fork about $60 [$90 in CP] -- frame builder is the best in Taiwan on Steel

excuse my poor photoshop skills:

I'm not sure if it's too late but if you can get the dropouts machined so they aren't painted that would be a VERY nice touch.

Pictures haven't yet been posted.

Same thing as Kilo TT, better tubing (Tr. Tmpr. Platinum OX)

kringle 04-08-08 05:38 PM

I'm subscribing to this because I know I'll end up getting the Pro when it comes out. Now I'm glad that I fought off an impulse buy on the regular Kilo TT.

craigmoyer 07-25-08 05:20 PM

Any chance of being able to buy the fork only? I love the looks of that...

PETEROCK1 07-28-08 10:55 AM
