wheelbuilding question...

so i'm planning to build the rear wheel for my fixed gear using a suzue basic hub, and i would like to use damon rinard's spocalc program to calculate the spoke length required. however, the suzue rear hub is not in the database. does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the hub, or know where i could find them? thanks!

Get a pair of metric veneer calipers (the dial ones are best), and you can make the required measurements yourself. I did this when building the wheels on my fixie w/Suzue basic hubs, but darned if I can recall the measurements. Measure at leasst twice to ensure proper measurement.

I would totally do that, but i was kind of hoping to order the hub and spokes online all at once to speed up the turnaround time and get me on the road asap :) if worse comes to worse, that is probably what i'll do, though, but if anyone else has any words of wisdom, i would really appreciate it!

DT swiss has spoke calculator which includes Suzue High Flange hubs (and surly hubs).
Site is www.dtswiss.com

take the measurements yourself

Shouldn't an online supplier be able to tell you the correct length for spokes based on the rim and hubs you plan to buy? A local shop could.
