opinions....is it really worth 600? and if not what are some other bikes that would be a better buy
|
eh.
thats all I've got to say, eh. if you want value, IRO completes are the jam. A lot of people like pista's as well. |

if you're too concerned about it, a steamroller or an IRO will be less common, though both of those bikes are widely ridden, though there really arent many good ~600 dollar bikes that ARENT built around common frames that are worth anyhting. |
I have the swobo sanchez and love it. Had to swap out some parts to get it the way i wanted, but very happy with it. Looked at the IRO and Pista, but was turned off by the amount of them in San Francisco. Plus the finish on the sanchez is pretty sweet.

...I guess the swobo does save you the trouble of removing the drops and swapping to chopped flat bars...
|
now now...i just wanted some opinions on it, i never said i was gona go out and buy it
edit: also got any opinions on the del norte? |
they come with bottle openers on the seat
just sayin' |
Road Bike Action Magazine just had a review in their last issue on this bike. They're fans of it. You would have to get a brake though.

The Sanchez is a nice frame, me and my close friend each have one, and another guy in town besides. They come with pretty much exactly the **** you get on a Pista, including the crappy 3.0 ratio with one skid patch, but risers instead of drops. I have absolutely no problems with mine now that I have a 17t cog, it's a very tight bike. You will not have toe overlap with this frame, which for some people is a plus, but also makes it more of road (thus more comfortable) frame.
People really should ride a properly set up one before they slander it, thought the MSRP is... ****ing dumb. I got mine at a discount. |
